Levy unjustified in Harrisdale

AFTER reading your report in last week’s edition and having no response from council, councillors and our local State parliamentarians, we have decided to respond to the report with our ongoing issues regarding our subdivision Harrisdale Green.

Obviously as the gateway to the City of Armadale, you would think some pride would be shown. However, obviously this is not the case.

No replanting has occurred; no general gardening is done on a regular basis unless a phone call is made.

Sprinklers are not repaired and trees that have died or been removed by council have not been replanted.

Forty-degree heat in December and council advised that it was waiting for summer to replace shade sails.

It is ongoing and no response. If council is in dispute with the developer, why has it not notified us?

Why are we paying the special area levy? This is not the leafy, green suburb the mayor claims it to be and for which we should all be happy to pay extra.

Please continue to spotlight these areas as all our endeavours have been in vain.
