WITH Colin Barnett now claiming Western Australians live 24/7 lives in relation for his push for an end to payments of penalty rates, perhaps he will now cause metropolitan vehicle examination centres to operate 24/7.

There were some extra hours of service at the peak of the importing of secondhand Japanese vehicles and, following the Premier's claim, there can be no good reason why ordinary workers should have to continue to put employment at risk by wagging work to have vehicles inspected during "business" hours.
