Opinion: Investigate collapse of case against Le brothers

Alf Campbell, KenwickComment News

THERE should be a thorough investigation into why the cases against the Le brothers collapsed after they were hit with unsustainable charges about allegedly illegal workers.

This harks back to the Phillip Ruddock days when he threatened to disrupt all businesses which did not demand proof of entitlement to work, with a harsh result of forcing people born in Australia to obtain passports just to have some proof of entitlement to work.

All of such costs and all of that grief have got us nowhere.
