Shire’s wide shotgun blast at its residents

Alf Campbell, KenwickComment News

IT is interesting that the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale has chosen a path towards an attendance register (Shire: Behave or else, Comment News, August 2) in trying to stifle dissent.

Perhaps the next step will be to hire bouncers to expel anyone who is at all controversial.

I am baffled as to why the shire would seek to take a wide shotgun blast to impose such a preamble upon the well-behaved majority instead of just dealing appropriately with its actual targets.
