Why the rush?

Not content with the arbitrary signing of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child ” without our consent or consultation ” our social engineers want to go a step further to promote legislation under which a physical chastisement of a child by a parent, however mild, would constitute a criminal act, possibly sending the offender to jail.

Perhaps we suggest to our social gurus that a gentle smacking of a child should not be regarded as an act of violence but rather the caring of a loving parent who has the welfare and future development of his or her offspring at heart.

Why is there such a rush by the ‘progressives’ to ride roughshod over our traditional values that served us well in the past?
