Family-friendly Mason Green holds a lot of appeal

Staff WriterComment News

AFTER seeing families enjoy the parks and play areas at Mason Green, first-home buyers Scott and Irma Cornwall knew the private estate would be the perfect place to raise their daughter.

Having lived in the area for seven years, they bought a 450sq m block in stage seven of the Qube development at Piara Waters.

The couple said they wanted 16-month-old Maja to grow up in a modern suburb with parks and play areas in walking distance, where she could safely play with other children.

“This is exactly what we see at Mason Green,” Dr Cornwall said.

“We see it as a very child-friendly neighbourhood with many parks and play areas.

“We also like that it is close to new schools, shopping centres and transport links and have noticed that families are out and about in the evenings and on weekends and they are very friendly.”

The couple are building with Home Group WA and hope their new four-bedroom home will be ready to move in to by the end of this year.

“Our block is only streets away from where we are now. We have watched Mason Green grow and develop in the past two years and have seen blocks being snapped up really quickly,” Dr Cornwall said.

Stage seven blocks are near the estate’s 2.3ha Marrinup Park, where families will be able to enjoy barbecues, shaded picnic tables, nature-style play equipment, table tennis table, tennis hit-up wall and fitness equipment.

Qube managing director Mark Hector said plans for the park included a large area of retained bush with a centre boardwalk through the middle showcasing the retained environment.

Just over half of the 430 blocks to be developed at Mason Green have been completed.

Blocks in stage seven range from 313sq m to 662sq m and are priced from $239,000 to $329,000.
