A Gosnells Croquet Club pair claimed victory at the club’s own marquee competition, the Gosnells 12 Handicap Doubles Croquet competition.

The hosts entered four pairs against seven visiting pairs from clubs around the state, including from as far as Bunbury and Narrogin.

It was the Gosnells pair of Terry Brownok and Colleen Saccook who prevailed, winning eight of their ten games en route to victory.

Brown said the pair worked well together and utilised their level nine handicaps to their advantage, which helped them edge out some of their more esteemed peers.

“We just played one ball at a time, we got a win here and there and we ended up with eight wins and the overall victory,” he said.

Brown also thanked the club for their great hosting and thanked his fellow club members for their support during the tournament.
