Daniel Micevski scored the winning goal in the 33rd minute, to keep Stirling level on points with leaders Bayswater City.
Stirling assistant coach Gary Williams believed his side had done everything it could to deal with the long wait between games after Stirling’s match last week was postponed because of a water-logged pitch.
Stirling held the ball for long periods, during which Armadale rarely looked likely to score.
Sam Fuzik fired a brilliant driven volley that came off the post before rebounding to Kalau, whose first-time volley was saved by Armadale keeper Ellis Hawksworth. He was again called into action and made a last-ditch save with his foot to deny what should have been a game-ending goal.
The Stirling Under 18s won 1-0 while the Reserves lost 3-0.
This Saturday the Stirling Lions will meet with third placed Sorrento at Macedonia Park looking to stay equal top, with a 3pm kick off.
