Armadale Soccer Club eyes NPL WA win against Joondalup United

Ben SmithComment News

ARMADALE Soccer Club are seeking to claim back-to-back NPLWA wins when they travel north to face Joondalup United.

Despite being tipped to battle relegation, Armadale have steadily improved and currently sit 10th out of 14 after nearly half the season.

A win would see them overtake United and possibly even move into the top half of the table.

Armadale attackers Kyle King and Joshua Tumoe will be looking to continue their strong seasons against a Joondalup outfit who have the second-worst defensive record in the league.

Kelmscott Football Club are hoping to claim their first win of the Western Australia Amateur Football League B Grade season away to Swan Athletic.

The Bulldogs travel to Fawell Park hoping a win will lift them off the bottom of the table, as they look to put last week’s thrashing by North Fremantle behind them.

Kristian Egan looms as the likely figurehead for Kelmscott, although they’ll have to be on their guard against Swan’s Jeremy Polich, who has kicked 14 goals in his first four games.

Meanwhile, Kelmscott Roos Soccer Club host a winless Melville City in their State League Division Two.

The Roos’ great start to the season, coupled with Melville’s injury list, means they will be favourites heading into the clash at Fry Park.
