ARMADALE dominated in front of goals to secure a big 4-2 win against Subiaco in round 22 of the NPL WA.
Travelling to Rosalie Park for the match, Armadale went up 1-0 midway through the first half after Michael Rizidis found the back of the net from the edge of the box in the 36th minute.
After that Chris Jackson stole the show, the in-form striker scoring his third hat-trick of the season with goals in the 44th, 57th and 64th minutes.
Armadale took the foot off the gas late in the game, allowing Subiaco to score two consolation goals in the dying minutes.
After the game coach John O’Reilly had a lot of praise for Jackson, who tops the competition’s goal scoring chart.
“Chris is on flying form in front of goal there, he’s been doing really well leading into these games,” he said.
“His finishing is fantastic, he’s capable with his left foot, right foot-he’s a threat from all angles.
“Having him up front with what the players do behind him is a good combination.”
The win continued Armadale’s run of high-scoring matches, the fifth time in six games that they had scored three or more goals.
The result will be a big confidence booster for the team, who will travel east to take on Cairns FC in the FFA Cup round of 32 match on Wednesday night.
Following the FFA Cup match Armadale will return home to host Floreat Athena from 3pm August 4 at Alfred Skeet Reserve.
