GOSNELLS Cricket Club’s English import Luis Reece capped a stellar season by finishing fourth in WA Premier Cricket’s Olly Cooley Medal count.
The medal count for the best player in first-grade WA Premier Cricket was held at the WACA Ground, voted by the umpires on a 3-2-1 basis per each regular season game.
Reece finished on 12 votes, five votes behind the winner, Claremont-Nedlands’ Tim David.

The Lancashire all-rounder was named in the Western Australian District Cricket Competition Team of the Year after scoring 362 runs and taking 31 wickets in first-grade.
He also won the John Marsh Memorial Trophy for Senior Cricketer of the Year at Gosnells’ awards night.
Reece took home the club’s bowling award and was joint winner of the Hawk Medal on 20 votes, alongside Matthew Leipold.
Leipold also won the club’s One-Day Cricketer of the Year and batting award.
Jakob Horsman was Under-19 Cricketer of the Year, while Ryan James-Buckley won Fielder of the Year.
