Football: Maddington too strong for Bassendean, running out 66-point victors

Francis CurroComment News

With Bassendean coming off a solid win last week, and Maddington having its first loss, it was always going to be a tough contest.

Maddington was too strong in the end, winning 17.17 (119) to 8.5 (53), which puts Maddington on top of the ladder. The first quarter was a tight affair, with Bassendean winning a lot of the contested ball and taking their opportunities in front of goal.

Maddington then went into quarter-time with a tight lead.

The second quarter was much of the same.
