DIE-HARD Gosnells City Football Club supporters have stuck by their club despite this being a mixed season for them.
Every week in rain, hail or shine, a group of grannies take their chairs down to watch their team play.
But this isn’t just any group of supporters. They call themselves the Gossie Grannies and they are all life members of the Gosnells City Football Club and the team cheer leaders.
Most of them are members of the team committee who help with the trophy nights and in the canteen.
Gossie Grannies member Ann said the reason why she joined the club because she loved the game of soccer and wanted someone else to talk about it to.
“We just love the game,” she said
“Rail, hail or shine we take our chairs down there and support the boys. I think they like us being there.”
The group watch all three grades even though most don’t have any children or grandchildren playing.
