The Mills Park facility will be demolished to make way for multimillion-dollar redevelopments, which club president Andrew Dullens said would have meant sharing facilities with several other local clubs.

‘We would like to keep our identity and our members voted yes to the merger with Cannington,’ he said.

‘Cannington members also voted yes, so when we merge we will form a new committee.’

Mills Park members will move to the Cannington club on April 6.

They will continue as their own entity for a year before the merge.

After a further year, the merged club will move to a new facility in Queen’s Park.
