NPL WA: Armadale goes down late 2-1 against Subiaco

Ben SmithComment News

A NINE-MAN Armadale SC’s poor form continued with a 2-1 loss to Subiaco in the penultimate round of the National Premier Leagues WA at Alfred Skeet Reserve.

The loss means Armadale has won just one of its last nine games, including five straight losses, after a solid start to the season.

Both sides struggled to find the net for most of the game as Jordan Pavett came closest, his foot narrowly missing a low cross across the face of goal.

Despite Milan Ognjenovic’s red card, the hosts looked like they might snatch a late win when Charlie Kenna fired home a penalty.

However, Jordan Candlish equalised soon after before Kenna was given his marching orders for a second booking.

Armadale’s miserable day was completed when David Perich scored in injury time to steal a Subiaco win.
