THE Roleystone Women’s Hockey Club has opened its doors to new players for the 2018 season.

With a second team in the social grass competition firmly in their sights, club president Lee Jefferies said the club needed some fresh faces to join their ranks.

She said the season started in a few weeks and they were happy to accept anyone willing to enjoy a fun sport with some great teammates, regardless of age or experience.

“We currently have too many players for one team, but we are just a few people short of entering a second team and we are really keen to hear from anyone who would like a hit this coming season,” she said.

“We play in a social competition and we are welcoming players from teenagers to seniors, beginners, rusty players who haven’t had a hit in a while, and current players who are seeking a friendly new team to play for.

“We’re not fussy, so long as you can commit to playing Saturday afternoons during winter and are keen to give it a go.”

The Roleystone Women’s Hockey Club is based at Bob Blackburn Reserve in Seville Grove, with games played across Perth.

Fitness training begins on March 6 from 6pm to 7pm.
