THE Thornlie Swimming Club picked up five gold medals at the Swimming WA Short Course Rookie Meet on August 14.
The club entered 14 swimmers as part of the meet and came away with five gold medals, seven silvers, seven bronze medals and 50 personal bests from 65 swims.
The aim of the meet is for those rookie swimmers to race in a professional environment.
