Thornlie Swimming Club claims haul of medals at meet

A GROUP of swimmers from the Thornlie Swimming Club won more than 70 personal bests at a recent Peel Swim meet at HBF Stadium.

There were 22 team members that achieved 74 personal bests, six gold medals, 16 silvers and 16 bronze medals.

Mitchell Wise of Kelmscott took home gold in the 200 individual medley, Huntingdale’s Jessica Kyle took home a gold in the 100m butterfly, Ferndale’s Jordan Preece got gold in the 50m fly while Grace Kyle of Huntingdale won two gold medals in the 50 and 200m breaststroke.
