Thornlie Swimming Club has best summer season in years

THORNLIE Swimming Club has recorded its best summer season results in more than 15 years.

Over the course of the six-month season, Thornlie’s 37-person competitive swimming team amassed 118 Gold Medals, 89 silvers and 83 bronze, in addition to a staggering 690 personal best times.

Nine members were also selected to the WA All Stars teams at the Indian Ocean All Stars meet in April, where members collected 20 gold medals, 10 silver and two bronze.

The club also produced three Swimmer of the Meet Trophy Winners in Jesstine Morales, Jordan Preece and Jason Djaffarsah.

In addition, the club recorded 23 personal bests and Mackenzie Hurford took home a bronze medal at the State Junior Championships.
