Top cyclists for Grand Fondo tour

Staff ReporterComment News

The City of Armadale Grand Fondo is one of the biggest cycling events in WA.

Based on the traditional Italian style Gran Fond (great endurance) events, cyclists have the option of riding 70km, 100km or 150km courses which run through the surrounding Perth hills and countryside.

In addition there will also be the shorter 30km, 60km and 70km courses that make up the Armadale Central Kermesse, a shorter distance road cycling event on the flat roads about 2.5km out of Armadale.

Event director Ian Wee said the event would be an exciting day for riders and spectators.

‘The City of Armadale Grand Fondo brings together cycling enthusiasts from right across WA, so it is a great opportunity for us to showcase the best of Armadale,’ Mr Wee said.

Riders will start and finish at the Sienna Wood Cycling Tent City in Memorial Park, Armadale.
