Hughes cemented his place in baseball history when he hit a home run in his first Major League at bat in 2010 for the Minnesota Twins, making him only the 104th player to achieve that feat in Major League Baseball history.
Hughes, who joined the Twins in 2002 as a non-drafted free agent, is now one of the Heat’s most recognisable names as he nears his 100 career-game milestone in the ABL.
