Volleyball: Canning Vale College celebrates pair of titles

Ben SmithComment News

CANNING Vale College (CVC) are celebrating two momentous volleyball titles, including the school’s first A Grade title in any sport.

CVC’s girl’s team roared to the A Grade title in emphatic fashion, winning the trophy without dropping a set all tournament, despite facing schools with specialist programs such as Perth Modern and Mandurah Baptist.

Meanwhile, the boy’s team performed admirably in what was the first tournament for many of their side, triumphing in the C Grade competition.

He said while he was surprised with the girl’s convincing victory, it was much deserved given they had experienced a heart-breaking loss last year.

“Last year they lost in the grand final, they were tied at the end of time, we had to play one more point and they lost.”
