WACA Premier Cricket: Gosnells in danger of defeat to Scarborough

GOSNELLS are in danger of defeat against Scarborough after a poor first day in their round 7 Premier Cricket match at Abbett Park.

The Hawks were in all sorts of trouble early, falling to 7-88, before Ryan James-Buckley (51) and Chris Prescott (33) showed resilience to guide Gosnells to 216.

Scarborough replied to be 2-112, with Wes Robinson (43no) likely to hold the key next Saturday.

Luis Reece took both wickets in the Gulls’ response, as his side looks to avoid a second straight loss.

The Hawks fared better in Sunday’s Premier Cricket T20 match, defeating Perth by six wickets at Fletcher Park.

Aaron Keverne-Onyon blasted 51 from 26 balls, including five sixes, as Gosnells chased down Perth’s 3-147 with 10 balls left.
