GOSNELLS has had a strong start in its two-day match against Fremantle, pushing its total past 300 for the first time this season.
The decision to bat first after winning the toss paid dividends for Gosnells who, despite losing opener Ben Green early, rallied to 3-175.
A few quick wickets ensued but strong batting from almost the entire line-up, including 117 from Jonathon Crowe, helped Gosnells to 307.

READ NOWFremantle’s Ross Macauley did most of the damage with the ball taking four wickets, while Zach Ferris and Timothy Miles took two apiece.
There was just enough time in the day for Gosnells to squeeze in two overs in the field, which again proved fortuitous as Chris Prescott struck in the first over to remove Macauley for a four-ball duck.
Gosnells will be pushing to close out just its second win of the season when the match continues at Stevens Reserve this Saturday from 11.40am.
They will back it up with a T20 match against Willetton from 2pm on Sunday.
