South Fremantle will enter the bye on the back of two straight defeats.

In wet conditions at Fremantle Oval the Bulldogs never recovered from a slow start to fall to Claremont 11.3 (69) to 5.8 (38).

The Tigers led by six goals at quarter time and seven at the main change.

While South Fremantle squared or led most of the key stats they failed to kick a major until the third term.

By then the match was effectively in the book.

Tigers forward Beau Maister booted three goals. Ryan Lim gathered 31 disposals and laid five tackles.

Jye Bolton tallied 30 disposals (28 kicks), 12 tackles and five inside 50s.

For South Fremantle Ben Saunders booted two goals. It was a solid effort after the forward copped a heavy knock to the face in the match’s early stages.

Shane Hockey led disposals with 31. He also laid 12 tackles.

In other matches East Perth beat Swan Districts 8.10 (58) to 2.6 (18), West Perth continued its great run with an 8.7 (55) to 1.5 (11) victory over Peel Thunder, and Perth stunned Subiaco 6.6 (42) to 4.3 (27).

East Fremantle had the bye.
