A HARRISDALE couple are set to unleash their best Hardy Boyz impersonations when they step into the ring at the next Explosive Pro Wrestling (EPW) event.

Shane Moutett and Allyson Holmes will join forces for their second tag-team bout EPW’s upcoming Reawakening event.

The couple are eagerly anticipating the match and said they could not wait to team up with their significant other in the ring once again.

“The thing I enjoy most about teaming with Shane is a sense of comfort and being able to have fun together,” Holmes said.

“It’s a pretty awesome feeling being able to take part in something you enjoy so much with your partner.”

“As the more experienced wrestler, I remember it just being really easy and so much fun working together on the same side,” Moutett added.

Holmes, who has wrestled men in the past, said she finds the experience “empowering” and heralded WWE’s Lita as a trailblazer.

“It’s actually a lot of fun, knowing you can hold your own in a wrestling ring and be trusted to put on a good show along side the guys,” she said.

“I was a huge fan of Lita when I was younger; she was the first female to really portray a high-flying style and would never shy away from getting in the ring with the guys.”

Moutett, who takes stylistic influence from Chris Jericho and Randy Orton, urged people to get to the event to cheer them on.

“Reawakening is going to be a huge night not to be missed and I can confidently say the very best professional wrestling in this country will be on display,” he said.

EPW Reawakening takes place at Cyril Jackson Recreation Centre in Bassendean on Saturday November 25.
