Young Demon Quinton Narkle invited to AFL Draft Combine

GOSNELLS and Perth Demons footballer Quinton Narkle is a step closer to realising his AFL dream after receiving an invitation to the 2016 AFL Draft Combine in October.

Narkle is one of 12 West Australians invited, which includes Perth teammate Zac Fisher, Claremont’s Jake Waterman and Sam Petrevski-Seton, and East Perth’s Sam Powell-Pepper.

The AFL Draft Combine includes testing of athleticism and football skills, as well as assessing each player’s personality and character.

Club recruiters will have the opportunity to watch some of the best young talent as part of the combine.

AFL national and international talent manager Kevin Sheehan said clubs would also conduct interviews with players.

Only Victoria Metro and Victoria Country had more invitees than Western Australia.

The 2016 AFL Draft Combine will be conducted at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne from October 6 to 9, and will feature 80 players.

More than 100 additional players will be tested at state combines in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane/Sydney and Perth.
