Fremantle’s Jay Martin, North Fremantle’s David Thomas Henry Wright and Beaconsfield’s Jodie Tesoriero and Tineke Van der Eecken, along with Catherine Gillard, have been shortlisted for the 2016 City of Fremantle T A G Hungerford Award.
Fremantle Press fiction publisher Georgia Richter said the biennial award, which offered a $12,000 first prize and a publishing contract, was given to the best manuscript from an unpublished WA author.
She said the shortlisted manuscripts all delved into what it was like to be a stranger in a new place.
