MENTORING coach Cema Santos, who came to Australia from Brazil 20 years ago, says International Women’s Day celebrates the “pleasure of being a woman in this world”.
The Ocean Reef resident is a coach for the Mirrabooka-based Kaleidoscope Mentoring Program.
Ms Santos will be a guest speaker at the City of Bayswater and Galleria Shopping Centre’s International Women’s Day networking breakfast on March 8.

“Being a woman, a migrant and being Australian – it is amazing,” she said.
“There is not a big difference between men and women. We all have our space in this world, we just need to find a way and then get there.”
Through her work with Kaleidoscope and her My Mind Master business, she has helped migrants adapt to life in a new country.
“I help migrants living abroad to go through the process of settling themselves in their new country,” she said.
“They feel trapped inside negative emotions, feeling depressed and frustrated. I help them go through these emotions,” she said.
“My life has always been around migrants, helping migrants and being a migrant woman myself made me realise how we need to support the children.”
The 7.30am breakfast is at the multicultural mural next to Rivers in Morley.
