COMMUNITY league footballers paid tribute to former Fremantle Dockers forward Shane Yarran at the weekend.
They held a two-minute silence at the Midland versus Dwellingup match at Altone Park in Beechboro in honour of Yarran who grew up playing junior football in the Midland area.

The Dockers wore black armbands for their former teammate in the Saturday night clash with the Western Bulldogs, and forward Michael Walters saluted Yarran after kicking a goal.
“Well done to Midland and Dwellingup for having the two minutes silence in the middle of the ground on Sunday,” Metro Football League president Rowan Carson said.
“Our condolences to Shane’s parents Mick and Cheryl.
“Shane’s older brother Malcolm Yarran was a brilliant footballer who played in Midvale’s 2003 premiership and went on to play at South Mandurah and Kelmscott, winning a few premierships.
“Shane, the cousin of former Carlton player Chris Yarran, played with Midvale Tigers juniors.”
Midland 19.18 (122) defeated Dwellingup 1.6 (12).
In division 2, Koongamia 14.21 (105) beat Baldivis 2.7 (19).
