READ NOWThe City of Wanneroo fenced off the worst affected areas last Friday and assets director Harminder Singh described it as an “irresponsible and senseless act”.
“A bollard was destroyed and removed for a vehicle to gain access on to Anthony Waring Reserve, which caused an estimated $7000 of damage to turf and irrigation,” he said.
“All repair works were completed on Friday with the exception of re-turfing which is scheduled to be completed on throughout this week.
“The City will liaise with clubs using the space to ensure adequate areas within the park are available for scheduled training.”
