Being a long-time Bassendean resident, she found there were not many options open to her, or other families, for a cheap day out.
The event manager took the opportunity to embark on the new business venture.
Bamb Bino’s Coffee & Icecreamery drive-through opened on Old Perth Road on Friday.
Ms Faraone said ice cream prices were no longer family friendly.
“A family with three children can go out for ice cream and spend about $50,” she said.
“I want families to be able to afford to go out.”
Ms Faraone’s focus was also to have a place for people to go after hours.
“Nothing is open after 3pm around here; I wanted a place that would bring ambience to the area,” she said.
Coffee is also on the menu and available on the go.
“I think that anyone who orders a takeaway coffee should get priority over those that choose to dine-in,” Ms Faraone said.
“I drop my kids off at school and I want a coffee but I don’t have time to wait 10 to 12 minutes for a takeaway coffee; that why I wanted to do a drive-through.
“But because we don’t offer a hot breakfast, we knew we had to nail it with the coffee we served.”
Ms Faraone said the coffee was from Fremantle.
