INTERNATIONAL food manufacturer Gourmania aims to expand its production after moving from Malaga to a bigger facility in Bayswater.
The business, which has been running since 1986, is the first to open in the Tonkin Highway Industrial Estate.
It specialises in mass food production for catering companies, Perth Airport, hospitals, restaurant groups and international brands.
“Relocating to the Tonkin Highway Industrial Estate is fundamental to Gourmania activating its expansion and modernisation plan, whilst ensuring we stay well-connected to key stakeholders,” he said.
Chief executive Raj Jeyarajah said the goal was to grow the business at the new facility.
“We are also moving towards logistics and management,” he said.
“Some of the freezer space is now being leased out to third parties.”
Director Daniel Romano said the business also launched two online meal delivery websites called Feed Me meals and Paleo Meals Direct.
Bayswater Mayor Dan Bull said the City looked forward to having more businesses moving into the estate, creating new job opportunities.
