Mortgage brokers Finance 365 looking to score plenty of goals in 2018

Kristie LimEastern Reporter

MORTGAGE brokers Finance 365 is gearing up for an “aggressive” 2018 after notching its second-straight national top 25 brokerages ranking this month.

The business, which has branches in Bayswater and Wangara, secured 23rd spot in Australian mortgage and finance publication The Advisors’ list, after coming 20th in 2017.

The final ranking is determined by scores in total book size, total loans settled, total volume of loans settled, book size versus years in business and average broker volumes in the 2016-17 financial year.

Finance 365 director and Bayswater resident Alun Vernals said the business had a “good ride” of winning awards since being formed five years ago.

“We have been pretty successful but we tend to keep finance quite simple,” he said.

“I have got a very good set of staff behind me that are very good at what they do and are very consistent.

“What we have done in Bayswater, because I am a Bayswater resident, I’ve opened that office so we can have a place to work on the weekend and we don’t have to go all the way to Wangara.”

Mr Vernals said he hoped to provide financial support to other local clubs beyond Bayswater City Soccer Club, which Finance 365 was a major sponsor of, and he served as an assistant coach under sales marketing manager and head coach Chris Coyne.

“We spent all the money at Bayswater City Soccer Club because that is where we coach and we will be spending at local clubs moving forward,” he said.

“Rather than spending in one place, we are going to spread it around a little bit and make sure it’s really community-based.

“This year is actually really, really aggressive in terms of how we grow and we don’t really see it as a flat year.

“We see it as a really big year ahead of us…we think the market is going to recover quite considerably.”
