Schneider Mechanical and Tyre Centre relocates to bigger workshop in Dianella

Kristie LimEastern Reporter

FAMILY business Schneider Mechanical and Tyre Centre has expanded from an old workshop to a bigger automotive service centre in Dianella.

Stirling Mayor Mark Irwin cut the tape at an opening event held at the Cleverland Street centre last month.

The business was started by Abe Schneider in 1973 and is now run by his son Michael, who made the decision to become a Repco Authorised Service centre in 2015.

Michael said the new centre was double to size of its previous workshop, which was also on the same street.

“While we had to expand to cater for our growing customer base I didn’t want to inconvenience our existing customers by relocating too far afield, so we were delighted when we discovered we could stay in the same street,” he said.

Repco WA regional manager Jim Dias said the centre was equipped with latest equipment and nine hoists.

“Michael and his team of automotive technicians are qualified professionals and have access to Auto Tech, an online technical resource which means customers can be assured that their vehicles will be serviced according to the book,” he said.
