HOLY cannoli, Italian restaurant Garum will serve up 300 free cannoli on Friday as part of National Cannoli Day celebrations.
The first 300 are free on the day, with celebrations continuing across the weekend of a complimentary cannoli with every takeaway coffee.
Head chef, Mario di Natale said the recipe was handed down to Guy Grossi from his Nonna.
“They are one of the most popular items on our daily Breakfast Table which is open to hotel guests and members of the public,” he said.
Di Natale has also introduced two new cannoli flavours in addition to Garum’s popular classic ricotta version.
Pistachio and chocolate flavoured cannoli will be available at Garum as part of the daily Breakfast Table for the month of June.
Originally hailing from Sicily, cannoli is a traditional Italian dessert that are today a staple of Italian cuisine.
Popular all around the world and beloved for their wafer tube-shaped shell, cannoli are filled with a sweet, creamy filling usually containing ricotta.
