“Claremont was an obvious choice as our new destination as we noticed in our West Leederville store that many of our customers were coming from Claremont and the surrounding areas,” she said.

“It made sense to make it even more convenient for our busy customers and it has also allowed us to widen the awareness of small local business.”

Offering customers an array of flavours, including the luxurious Champagne Elderflower Petit Gâteau, ever-popular Salted Caramel Crunch and the fragrant Turkish Delight Petit Gâteau, the boutique store also specialises in creating high-end event desserts.

“We hope to add a little luxury to the home dining experience throughout the western suburbs,” McVeigh said.

“Our goal has always been to create luxurious, unique and creative food that delight and indulge our customers.

“It brings us so much joy to see their faces light up when they view our desserts.”

McVeigh said her mission was to also invest part profits from their store into initiatives to support talented young women in the food, music and arts through their Feed The Fire Foundation.

Iluma’s flagship store is on Cambridge Street, West Leederville and their pop-up store is at Claremont Quarter until February 23.
