Malaga company honoured for smallgoods

MALAGA business Re and Sons has been crowned a smallgoods grand champion of WA at the Perth Royal Food Awards earlier this month.

In the 5 months leading up to the event, products in varying categories are judged by a selection of local, national and international specialist judges.

Entrants have the opportunity to win gold, silver or bronze medals, with major winners also being awarded the grand champion in their category.

Re and Sons was awarded numerous medals for its traditional smallgoods range, and took out the major prize as grand champion thanks to their Felino salami.

Founded in 1953 by Umberto Re, B. Re and Sons was one of Perth’s first smallgoods producers and today the company operates out of a state of the art facility in Malaga.
