SHE has graced the catwalks for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and appeared in campaigns for Aussie bohemian-luxury label Camilla and now Perth model Ajok Madel reveals some of the secrets that have her looking her best.
Famed for gorgeous luminous skin – and a grounded persona and kind spirit – the 20-year-old is stunning inside and out.
When it comes to skincare and beauty, she says good nutrition is key first and foremost.

READ NOW“No one should be relying on face products; it should be your second option,” Madel said.
“Moisturising and oiling up is super important, also drinking plenty of water and eating well is vital, as well as doing your favourite workout; mine is running.
“These simple steps can do great things physically and mentally.
“Oh, and obviously don’t touch your face or pick anything!”
Madel’s favoured face wash is Simple’s Kind to Skin Moisturising Facial Wash.
“It is great for combination skin type and is also a gentle and calming cleanser that works extremely well at cleaning my face and removing build-up,” Madel said.
“Also, because I’m a human and I breakout, I use the Medik8 Clarifying Foam; it is a blemish cleanser and since using it I have noticed my skin looking its best.
“Alongside that I also use Dr Spiller Propolis Day Cream, which contains sunscreen and also helps with blemishes.”
When it comes to lip colour, Madel wears Marc Jacobs’ Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer in shade 342 (opaque light cocoa).
But her most beloved product – the one she would choose if she was trapped on a desert island and could only take one – is Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask.
“I have always had a nice dewy skin even in winter, but when I was in Sydney last year, that wasn’t the case,” Madel said.
“Winter came, I went to Melbourne and came back to Sydney with patches of dryness on my face; I was freaking out because I wasn’t sure what it was and had never seen anything like it.
“That’s when I picked this product up and started using it; it’s an overnight mask but just looks like a heavy moisturiser.
“It has really helped me, and you can use it during the day – it’s a must for winter.”
As a beauty indulgence, and all-round pick me up, Madel likes to have her nails done.
“It almost makes me feel like I have got my life put together, especially when I’m feeling a little stressed out,” she said.
