PERTH will host the Viva Mexico Film Festival for its first year from October 28 to November 5.

The festival will see 14 films and a range of short films screened in Como, West Perth and Northbridge during the nine days with a Day of the Dead themed festival party taking place in Leederville.

Festival director Sarah Connor said the line-up featured a mix of genres.

“The festival will provide a glimpse into modern day Mexico as seen through the eyes of creative Mexican filmmakers,” she said.
