The event, held by Deanna Hutchison, will raise money and awareness of different types of cancers as she prepares to take part in the Ride to Conquer Cancer on October 18 and 19.
The mother-of-two said she was excited about the event, which her father would conduct and the West Australian Symphonic Wind Ensemble (WASWE) would perform with WASWE Swing and Men in Harmony.
‘Cancer does not discriminate ” age, gender, race or financial status, we just need to find a cure, it is taking so many lives,’ she said.
‘This wonderful music ensemble is a collaboration of experienced and talented musicians who have a love for music and a passion for their craft.’
The 34-year-old said she had been training to get her fitness and endurance up for the 200km ride ahead.
‘I hadn’t ridden a bike since I was about 12 years old until I started training for this event; this is definitely a challenge for me,’ she said.
‘I needed to get fitter and healthier and when I signed up, I thought what better way than to do it while raising money for such a great cause.’
Tickets will be available at the door, but to ensure a ticket, contact Deanna on 0417 987 704 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Money raised raised from this concert will be donated to The Ride to Conquer Cancer.
Funds raised go towards fighting breast, bladder, brain, prostate, colon, kidney, testicular and childhood cancers, lymphoma and leukaemia.
