David and Sarah survivors of latest Claremont Quarter campaign

Sara FitzpatrickEastern Reporter

WITH a deep affection for his birth city of Perth and its picturesque coastline, Australian Survivor: Champions V Contenders star David Genat is right at home as the face of Claremont Quarter’s latest campaign shot at City Beach.

The western suburbs local-turned New Yorker features in the promotion alongside former Survivor competitor Sarah Tilleke.

Tilleke, formerly of North Perth and now based in Melbourne, encouraged Genat to enter the reality game show after her appearance in season 2.

“It was a bonus this last shoot was at City Beach: the beach is pretty amazing and one of my go-to places when I am back over summer,” Genat said.

“I have been in New York for almost 15 years now but still consider Perth my home.

“I would love to return here full time. Hopefully that is sooner rather than later, but we will see.”

A lover of nature and the outdoors, Genat said his Survivor experience reminded him to appreciate the seemingly small things in life.

“I find myself wanting to really take time to be thankful for just the basics, like buying food at a grocery store, a hot shower or clean sheets,” he said.

Tilleke has starred in almost every campaign for the western suburb’s shopping centre since it opened in 2011.

Now based in Melbourne, she too relishes in returning to her hometown for work and play.

The Claremont Quarter SS19/20 campaign pays homage to the WA coastline and features Australian brands Camilla and Marc, Tigerlily, Camilla, MJ Bale, Alice McCall, Aje and Manning Cartell.

It showcases statement embellishments, beautiful prints paired with staple crisp whites and relaxed neutrals perfect for the warmer months.
