Step one involves dressing in a frock with high heels for the school prom…

It’s not hard to see why this musical has created so much hype. It’s full of the energy and fizz and drama of those formative teen years.

Nominated for five Olivier Awards among its many accolades, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie was filmed live at the Apollo Theatre in London especially for cinemas.

The filming certainly captures the verve of a live musical; you can only marvel at the abilities and stamina of a mostly young 24-strong company to perform so brilliantly and seamlessly for near enough to three hours on stage.

Make no mistake; you’ll be talking about Jamie for a while to come.

It is screening at Luna Leederville on Saturday, November 24 and Sunday, November 25 at 1pm and Monday, November 26 at 6pm.
