Mr Wyers said his take on the Mad Hatter’s tea party was inspired by its random playfulness.

‘We wanted to encapsulate the essence of the tea party by placing cushions, tea-pots, china plates and small desserts scattered around to create a glamorous gathering,’ he said.

‘The crazy print on the abstract hat was used to emphasise the theatre of the piece and the flowers are used to highlight the garden high teas of the Victorian era.’

Having worked in the industry since 2006 alongside family members, including his father who started the business in 1999, Mr Wyers said visitors to the Perth Royal Show pavilions could expect to see a range of chocolate treats and truffles as well as the prized chocolate Mad Hatter tea party.

The Perth Royal Show is on from September 28 to October 5.
