The 27-year-old, who has been in the modelling industry for about 13 years, started her business Model Camp Australia with the aspiration of getting younger women to be more confident as well as give them the skills to be well informed online.
‘I get so many girls contacting me about getting into the world of modelling,’ Mrs Walter said.
‘A lot of them come to me saying they have been asked to do risqu shoots for certain amounts of money and they have no idea if they are credible businesses or not.’
Mrs Walter said it was important to do a lot of research before having your picture taken by photographers.
‘Anyone can get their hands on a camera and say they are a photographer and once someone has access to your images they can be used anywhere ” you have to be so careful,’ she said.
‘I’m trying to educate women to go through the right channels and not just sign up to random websites. There are a lot of scams out there.’
The 10-week course runs during the school term.
