Noughties pop stars bring hit music to Perth

DUST off the denim and bring out your old CDs, the 2000s are coming back.

After the debut of So Pop last year, the ultimate pop concert will be back with Perth as the first stop in the Australia and New Zealand tour.

Noughties pop sensations will be performing at RAC Arena on Wednesday, April 22 next year.

The Pussycat Dolls will be headlining the tour with their chart-topping songs ‘Jai Ho’ and ‘Don’t Cha’, making their comeback after breaking up 10 years ago.

“All stars” Smash Mouth will lead the sing-along with their karaoke hits ‘I’m a Believer’ and ‘I Can’t Get Enough of You Baby’.

Teen pop star of the 2000s Jesse McCartney is also expected to belt out ‘Beautiful Soul’ across Australia and New Zealand.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor of ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’ fame will be part of the line-up for her first Australia gig.

Other acts in the line-up are British five-piece Steps, Dutch trance-pop project Alice DJ, Danish artist Whigfield, American electro-reggae duo Reel 2 Real, Irish diva Samantha Mumba, resident DJ Rojdar and DJ Tigerlily.

Tickets will go on sale on December 9.
