The dynamic duo, who came third during the sixth season of the show, have rekindled a desire to follow their dreams and share their culture and love of food with others.

The pair gave foodies a taste of what can be expected at this year's show after a demonstration at Subiaco's The Village Bar on Thursday.

They will appear with a host of other culinary hotshots including Miguel Maestre, George Calombaris and Alastair McLeod.

Lean said she and Chng were happy to be taking part in this year's Good Food & Wine Show.

"It's an honour to be invited and just perfect for showing off what we can do," she said.

We're super excited to be cooking a lot of our favourite dishes, such as the hawker classic char kway teow, and beef rendang (and) family favourite chicken curry, and weve been experimenting with local native produce and mash-ups with different ingredients in classics we love, so there will be some of that, too.

"We really want to show how uncomplicated the dishes we love can be to cook, like curries for example."

Influenced by their backgrounds, the pair said they were fortunate enough to have great cooks in their families, including their parents and grandparents who had inspired them.

"Food is like a second language in my family," Chng said.

It is the beginning, middle and end to all conversations.

From a young age, I have been exposed to both western and Asian cooking styles especially Singaporean and Malaysian food.

"My dad is a phenomenal cook, as well as my grandma, but they are also my inspiration and they have all taught me to find the joy and love in cooking."

The three-day exhibition will showcase a range of food products and include demonstrations from celebrity chefs, as well as featuring wine and beer appreciation courses.

The 2015 Perth Good Food and Wine Show will be held at the Perth Entertainment and Convention Centre from July 10-12.
