The former City Beach resident, now based in Sydney, takes over the role from Natalie Imbruglia, whose reign as ambassador ended after four years with the brand.

Joined by Grace Huang and Noreen Carr, the trio form part of the Women of Achievement campaign. Durack said she jumped at the chance when asked about the opportunity.

I have always been a huge fan of Kailis Pearls, so when they asked me to be an ambassador, I certainly didnt have to think twice, Durack said.

I love that while it is a brand focused on its beautiful pearls, it stands for even more than that.

It stands for diversity, multiculturalism and is about women working hard towards their dreams, hence this recent Women of Achievement campaign.

I have been fortunate throughout my life to have great family support that has freed me to find my passions and work hard towards making a life out of them and this is a really special treat.

Durack recently gave birth to her first child, Polly, and said she was loving the life-changing experience, but was also dipping her toes back into filming and singing.

Like all parents, I think Polly is the greatest baby ever and a total genius, and Chris and I just cant believe how lucky we are, she said.

I am currently at CinefestOz down south where a film I am in, Now Add Honey, opened the festival and I am just about to go back to recording my radio show for the ABC.

Durack said a return to the stage was planned for the not-too-distant future.
