GENUINELY Southern Forests will be holding a taste experience at The New Benara Fresh Food Market this weekend.

Come down and experience some delicious seasonal local produce from Manjimup, Pemberton, Northcliffe and Walpole on Saturday, February 17.

The event runs from 11am to 2pm at 8/289 Benara Road, Morley.

 

Genuinely Southern Forests fruit french toast

INGREDIENTS
1 Genuinely Southern Forests pear, peeled, core in
2 Genuinely Southern Forests plums
4 Genuinely Southern Forests strawberries
12 raspberries
1 handful Genuinely Southern Forests walnuts
1 cup water
1 piece of brioche
2 Genuinely Southern Forests eggs
1 tbsp butter

METHOD
Put the fruit together in a glass bowl, add the water and microwave on high for 10 minutes.
Heat a pan and melt the butter.
Whisk the eggs and dip the brioche into the mix, covering all sides.
Cook the brioche in the pan, be careful not to squash it.
Pour some of the juice from the fruit onto a plate, top with the french toast and then top with the remaining fruit.
Scatter with walnuts.
