Red Shield Appeal thank you concert

Sara FitzpatrickEastern Reporter

THE Salvation Army is thanking supporters of its recent Red Shield Appeal with a special show this month.

Featuring live music and drama, the inaugural Red Shield Appreciation Concert will honour donors, general public and Salvationists.

“The Salvos are renowned for their musical excellence – it’s an historical fact that the Salvos know how to put on a good show,” Edith Jones from the organisation said.

“We’re getting friends and Salvationists to be part of this variety concert. We want to give something back to the community for all the support they have given us over the years.

“People don’t have a lot to give in today’s climate, so we were really pleased with the result of the Appeal.”

The concert will include music from Courtney Pitman, Mark Underwood and Kaboom Percussion, as well as acts from local drama students. THE ESSENTIALS
